Peter Phillips, the King's nephew, got a vicar's permission to marry his NHS fiancee Harriet Sperling in a church. They will get married on June 6 at All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire.

The King, Queen, Prince, and Princess of Wales know about the wedding. Peter and Harriet are divorcees, so they needed a vicar's permission to get married in the church.

The couple got engaged last summer.

Divorced couples can't automatically get married in an Anglican church, but the rules changed in 2002. Now, the vicar decides. A source said they got the vicar's permission.

Peter, the King's nephew, got engaged to Harriet in August. His mom, Anne, and dad, Captain Mark Phillips, might attend the wedding.

Other royals like Princes William and Harry might attend. Peter's aunts and uncles, including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, are unlikely to attend.

Peter, 48, was married to Autumn Kelly before. He has two daughters, Isla and Savannah. He dated Lindsay Wallace, then met Harriet, an NHS nurse with a daughter named Georgia.

Harriet joined the King, Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh at Sandringham. Peter and Harriet spent Christmas with her family.

Peter and Harriet first appeared together at the Badminton Horse Trials in 2024.

Harriet and Peter appeared at Royal Ascot together in June.

Peter married Autumn in 2008 at St George's Chapel in Windsor. The late Queen, Prince Philip, and Prince Harry attended.

The couple lived in Hong Kong, then moved back to the UK with their daughters.

Peter and Autumn separated in 2019 and divorced in 2021.

The couple said they would prioritize their daughters' wellbeing.
