NYT Strands Hints for June 17, 2026

The New York Times' word game, Strands, is fun and different. You find words in a grid by looking up, down, left, right, or diagonally. The words can change direction, making them tricky to find. Every letter in the grid is used to make a word. There is a theme that connects all the answers, and a special word or phrase called the 'spangram' that sums up the theme. The spangram goes across or down the whole grid.
Strands is a game that makes you think. It does not give you a list of words to find, so it takes a little longer to play than other games like Wordle.
If you are stuck or do not have a lot of time, we can help you with today's puzzle. We have all the hints you need to play at your own pace.
