Prairies Premier League soccer starts in Saskatoon

Soccer is very popular worldwide and growing in Canada. Young players are inspired by Canada's success.
Soccer demand is growing, and so are the leagues.
Soccer clubs from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario formed a semi-pro league.
The Prairies Premier League played its first games in Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
This league helps players, officials, and coaches develop. It's an exciting time for soccer.
The league took three years to create after a failed start in 2023.
We worked with Manitoba Soccer to create a new league with six teams.
Cole Joslyn is a local soccer player who had to consider moving to play semi-pro.
Now Joslyn can play in the Prairies Premier League at home.
This league is a great chance for Joslyn and future players to develop.
The first game was at SMF field with two Saskatoon teams, Forza and Saskatchewan Excel.
The Excel won the game 5-1 against Forza.
