I Visited a Beautiful Village with Many Pubs and a Great Coffee Shop

This village in the Peak District is perfect for a relaxing weekend with little planning.
The village has a famous road called Winnats Pass with beautiful views and sheep on the road. It's near a town with many pubs and cafes for hikers and bikers.
Castleton is a popular place for campers, hikers, and people who like pubs. It's a village with enough to do, but also quiet and peaceful.
The village is surrounded by beautiful views of the Peak District and fields with sheep and cows. You can see a big hill called Mam Tor from many places.
I walked to the top of Mam Tor, which was a challenging hike, especially in the hot weather.
Mam Tor is very close to the village.
Castleton has many old English buildings and a castle. It also has many pubs, which is why many people visit.
There are eight pubs in the village, all within walking distance of each other.
The pubs have low ceilings, good food, and live music. Some of them also have rooms for guests to stay.
My favorite pub was The Peak Hotel, which had a great atmosphere. The owner was friendly and served us many drinks.
I drank Prosecco and Aperol Spritz instead of beer.
The Peak Hotel had a small beer garden and a unique interior with old mirrors and signs.
Another good pub was Ye Olde Nags Head, which served big pizzas and other good food.
We also visited other pubs like Bulls Head and The Castle.
In the village, there's a small coffee shop called Castleton Coffee Co. It's a modern place with good coffee and food.
The coffee shop has a small space but serves many types of food like sandwiches, cakes, and acai bowls.
The coffee shop is small, but it has a bench outside and stools inside for people to sit. You can also buy things like tote bags and peanut butter.
I love finding new coffee shops, and I was happy to visit this one.
Castleton is a great place to visit, even if you just want to eat and drink. But it's also beautiful with many valleys and hills to explore.
