Friday's Horse Racing Picks, Featuring Newcastle and Lingfield Park

This Friday, Newcastle will host the final event of the Friday Night Live season, which will be broadcast on ITV4. One of the highlights of the evening is the participation of Sherlock, the chosen horse of Newsboy, in the 6:30 PM race.

At Lingfield Park, Forglen is considered the top contender in the No Casino Just Sports Handicap, scheduled to take place at 5:17 PM. This five-year-old horse, trained by William Stone, has shown significant improvement in its performance over longer distances this year.

Forglen has achieved several victories, including one at Lingfield Park in January, and has also performed well at Southwell and Wolverhampton. Its recent win at Rolleston has further solidified its position as a strong competitor.

In its last race, Forglen, ridden by Ryan Kavanagh, won by a half-length and has been assigned a 3lb higher weight for its next race. Nevertheless, it is expected to perform well once again.
