I Made a Delicious Bakewell Tart in 1 Hour

A Bakewell tart is a classic British dessert with pastry, jam, and almond filling. It comes from the town of Bakewell and is loved for its sweet and nutty taste. It has been a favorite in Britain since the 19th century.
Mary Berry has many traditional recipes online, including a Bakewell tart. I tried to make it and found it easy, except for making the pastry. The recipe said it's perfect for those who like a little icing.

The tart was very delicious.
To make the pastry, mix flour and butter, then add water. This makes a soft dough.
Mary says to roll the dough out, but I put it in the fridge for 15 minutes. Then I rolled it out and put it in a tin. I put this in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Heat the oven and line the pastry with paper and beans. You can use rice if you don't have beans.
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the beans and paper. Bake for 5 more minutes, then let it cool.
Spread jam on the pastry, then melt butter and mix with sugar.
Add almonds, egg, and almond extract, then pour into the tin. You can add flaked almonds on top.
Bake for 35 minutes, then let it cool. Mix icing sugar and put it in a bag. Drizzle it over the tart.
This dessert was one of the best I've made, and it looked great. My family loved it and it was gone quickly.
