E10 Gasoline Sales Will Increase in April

The Prime Minister said the Ministry of Industry and Trade should help people use E10 gasoline to reduce energy use.
Companies are ready to sell E10 gasoline on a large scale from April.
PVOIL has sold E10 gasoline at 100 stations since 2025 and had no major issues.
PVOIL has 13 places to mix E10 gasoline and can start selling it on a large scale in April.
Saigon Petro will start selling E10 gasoline in April and may increase sales in May if needed.
Anh Phat Petro JSC is ready to start selling E10 gasoline in April.
The Vietnam Petroleum Association said companies can meet the demand for E10 gasoline.
However, there are still some technical problems with E10 gasoline.
Domestic gasoline has almost no oxygen, but imported gasoline has some oxygen.
Using only oxygen-free gasoline could increase the price of E10 gasoline.
The Vietnam Petroleum Association said E10 gasoline may degrade during storage and transport.
Petrolimex said blending more ethanol could exceed the allowed oxygen content.
Saigon Petro thinks the proposed oxygen content limit is still too low.
Companies want the government to remove obstacles to blending and testing E10 gasoline.
If these problems are solved, the transition to E10 gasoline could happen faster.
To make E10 gasoline, 100,000-110,000 m3 of ethanol is needed per month.
Vietnam has six ethanol plants, but only four are working now.
The total capacity of the six plants is 41,000 m3/month, but only 25,000 m3/month is being used.
When all six plants work at full capacity, they will meet 41% of the demand for ethanol.
The Dong Nai Ethanol Plant works stably and plans to increase its capacity.
