I know that global problems are making life harder for many people. I am thinking about those who get a state pension.

Some people have to carefully plan how much they can spend on heating, driving, and food.

This government will help pensioners, so we are increasing the state pension by £575.

Pat McFadden, the UK work and pensions secretary, likes pensioners.

We promise to increase pensions by a lot - 4.8%. This means pensioners will get £120 more than if we just increased it by inflation. By the end of this government, pensioners will have £2,100 more.

Next week, some pensioners will get £8.45 more per week. Others will get £11.05 more per week. This is a big increase.

The minimum amount of money that pensioners can get will also increase. More pensioners are getting medical help and the lower energy price is helping.

We know we need to do more. But we are helping pensioners. They deserve a good retirement.
