The beautiful Spanish island with world's longest promenade and 24C May temperatures

A coastal hotspot in Spain has the longest seafront promenade in Europe, with 26 kilometres of ocean views, beaches and places to stop.
The route is on the island of Lanzarote, starting in Puerto del Carmen and going to Costa Teguise. It has Atlantic views, coves and many restaurants and bars.
The island is warm in May, with 24C temperatures, making it great for walkers, runners and cyclists before the summer crowds.
The 26-kilometre path is a major attraction due to its accessibility and variety, linking tourist areas with viewpoints and rest spots.
The promenade was not planned, but developed over time to meet residents' needs and became record-breaking.

The 26-kilometre promenade is popular for cycling and is a major tourist attraction.
A Coruña was thought to have the longest seafront promenade, with a 13-kilometre walkway and urban beaches.
A Coruña's claim to the title was believed for decades, but it was overtaken by Lanzarote in 2016.
Lanzarote's promenade is now more than double the length of A Coruña's.
