Man Who Tried to Attack 13-Year-Old Girl on Train Gets 12 Years in Jail

Abdulmanon Aliev, who lived in London, used a translator app to talk to the girl on a train from Southend to London.
The girl moved seats, but he followed her and sat down, trapping her by the window. He then attacked her until the train stopped in London.
The police caught Aliev 11 days later in Peckham.
The police searched his home and found the clothes he wore that day. He was charged and found guilty of trying to rape the girl and other crimes.
Aliev was given a 12-year jail sentence and will be on a list of sex offenders for life.
A police officer said Aliev targeted a vulnerable child and did something very bad to her.
