Woman Gets Frightening Email at 1:37am

A woman got a very scary email.

Getting an email from someone you don't know can be very frightening, especially when it looks like it's from your own email address.

The email continued in a very creepy way.

The email said, 'I can sell your information to bad people on the darknet, or you can buy it from me for $617.'

The email said, 'If you don't pay me, I will sell your information to bad people. They might use it to do bad things in your name. But if you pay me, I will delete the information and you can be safe.'

The person sending the email told Cyndi where to send the money and said, 'If you pay me, I will delete your information and you can go back to normal life.'

The scammer tried to scare Cyndi into paying by saying the offer was only available for one day.

Someone told Cyndi, 'Don't worry, they send these emails to many people. They don't really have your information. If they did, they would have sold it already.'

Another person said, 'This is an old scam. They've been sending the same email for a long time.' Cyndi said, 'But this one is written very well.' Others said, 'Don't send them any money.'
