Europeans Will Lose Access to Some PlayStation Content

Sony will stop Europeans from accessing some digital content from Studio Canal.

From September 1, 2026, people will no longer be able to watch their previously bought Studio Canal content, and it will be removed from their video library.

Many movies and TV shows will be removed from the PlayStation Store and users' libraries, including popular films like Attack The Block, Hot Fuzz, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Sony did not say if people will get refunds for the content they can no longer access.

This is not the first time a big media company has stopped people from accessing digital content they bought. Sony has done it before, and gamers are unhappy about it. They do not like that companies can remove products from digital stores after they have been bought.

While many games are still sold in physical and digital formats, some big games, like Grand Theft Auto 6, will only be sold digitally. People who buy the game in a store will get a box with a download code.

Fans are reacting negatively to the news because they know that when a big game does something, other games often follow.
