Rob Adcock shares travel tips on Instagram and recently shared a way to save money on flights. He asked if others use this trick to get a better seat for free. Rob has been using this trick for years.

Rob says to check in normally and choose a free seat. Then, before the flight, go back to the app and look at the empty seats. Remember the empty seats.

Close the app without paying or changing seats. Then, when on the plane, sit in one of the empty seats you saw.

Rob has done this for years and never had a problem. Be careful not to sit in the front or back rows.

This trick can work on other airlines like EasyJet and Wizz Air. You might get extra leg room or a window seat.

If it doesn't work, you can just go back to your original seat. This trick won't get you a business class seat, but it's a good idea for budget airlines.

Ryanair and Wizz Air were asked about this, but they didn't respond. EasyJet said they allocate seats for free, but you can pay to choose a seat.

EasyJet said that if you want to move seats after take-off, the crew will help you.
