0:02So I'm making this video in response to
0:04a particular issue that I noticed has
0:06been very common among creators.
0:08Like I have three creators that have reached
0:11out to me with this same issue.
0:13So if you are about to apply for
0:16a YouTube monetization or maybe you are going
0:18to do it in the future, you are
0:20hopeful that you are going to do it
0:21in the future, this video is very, very,
0:26this information I'm going to share in this
0:28video very, very seriously.
0:31Now, this creator sent me a message and
0:35It says, Hello, I saw your video on
0:38YouTube about AdSense verification.
0:41I recently set up my AdSense and did
0:43the identity verification, but the system could not
0:46pick up my name from the photo I
0:49I have a good phone so quality isn't
0:54I submitted around five times and every time
0:57it got my name wrong or missing.
1:01After that, AdSense locked me out of it
1:04so now I can't verify my identity.
1:08It now says to verify your identity and
1:12start showing ads again, please contact us.
1:15Do you know what I should do?
1:19So this is the message this creator sent
1:21to me about three days ago.
1:24Now, one thing you need to understand and
1:26I think you need to take this very
1:30I've made videos about this in
1:32the past, but probably we have new members
1:36So I have to emphasize on this again.
1:39When you are applying or when you are
1:41trying to verify your identity in AdSense, make
1:44sure that everything that is needed is available.
1:49Like make sure that the name you have
1:51on your, that the name you used in
1:53your AdSense account is exactly the same on
1:56the document you want to use, whether your
1:59NIN, whether your driver's license, international passport, whatever
2:03document you want to use, make sure that
2:09If it is Michael Jackson, make sure that
2:12the name in your AdSense account is Michael
2:15Jackson and the one on your ID card
2:18is Michael Jackson, not this one, Jackson Michael,
2:22while the one in your ID is Michael
2:25So everything must be in line because you
2:27know this thing is system automated
2:30this is not being manually reviewed, you get
2:35And the sad reality about if
2:38you make this attempt, when you try to
2:41verify your identity, you attempt it for five
2:43times and you couldn't verify it, definitely YouTube,
2:49I mean Google will suspend your AdSense account
2:51or will lock you out of your AdSense
2:53So this is what actually happened to this
2:57And I've had an incident some time ago
3:01where a creator lost about $400 in his
3:04AdSense account till today.
3:06Till today, he can't access his money in
3:10When he logged into his AdSense account, he's
3:13seeing his $400 but he can't access it.
3:16Another creator has over $1,000 in
3:21These guys are Nigerians based in
3:24Imagine you work for two, three months and
3:28you've gotten over $1,000.
3:31Imagine almost a 2 million Nigerian, you're a
3:33senior 2 million Nigerian but you can't access
3:36So and I've not seen anyone that has
3:39successfully gotten back their revenue after having this
3:45So what I'm trying to say here is
3:46that when you are applying for your identity
3:49or when you are trying to verify whatever,
3:51any verifiable in your AdSense, make sure that
3:55every information is accurate.
3:57Not even accurate but they are exact.
3:59Just like the example I made, Michael Jackson,
4:02you make it Michael Jackson in your AdSense,
4:04your ID should also have Michael Jackson.
4:07If what you have in your ID is
4:09Jackson Michael, make sure that your ID
4:13in your AdSense corresponds with the same
4:16sequence, Jackson Michael, not Michael Jackson.
4:21Because this could lead to a serious issue
4:24if you don't take it seriously.
4:27Apart from the name or whatever, like this
4:30particular creator, his own issue is about the
4:34The system couldn't verify the name.
4:37But in some other cases, like when you
4:39want to upload your ID card, some of
4:43us are not that careful knowing that if
4:46you have some bad blood or some portion
4:49of your ID card being cut out when
4:52you are snapping it or uploading it to
4:54the system, YouTube will definitely reject
4:58AdSense will definitely reject it.
5:01So take note of this.
5:03Wherever country you are, whether you are based
5:06in Nigeria, whether you are in North America
5:08or the UK or wherever, this applies to
5:12So if you are trying to apply for
5:14monetization and you are setting up your AdSense
5:17account, make sure that everything you have for
5:20your verification is accurate and exact.
5:23And also follow the guidelines.
5:24I will also share the link to some

5:30your identity without issues so that you won't
5:32run into these issues.
5:34When you try, when you attempt this verification
5:36up to five times and you are not
5:38successful, any money, any money you have in
5:42your AdSense account is gone.
5:44Please take this seriously so that you won't
5:47miss out or regret in the future.

6:51sure that you are avoiding all those things.
