A Pub Owner Spent £6,000 on a Grandstand for the World Cup

An England pub owner built a big grandstand for the World Cup. It can hold hundreds of fans and cost over £6,000.
The grandstand can hold about 400 people and has room for over 700 fans. It has a VIP area with a special American theme.
Paul said, 'I've had interest from all over the country.' He also said, 'Loads of people want to come and watch the games here. We're already fully booked up. It's really exciting. This is going to be the ultimate place to watch England this summer. It will be a festival of football.'

Paul said the atmosphere will be great. He hopes the grandstand will help raise money for a charity. Some pubs are not welcoming fans, like one that banned sportswear.
A pub called The Station has a new dress code. It does not allow hoodies, hats, or athletic wear on Fridays and Saturdays after 9pm.
The pub said it made these changes recently. Some people are questioning the timing because the World Cup is coming soon.

Some regulars think this will drive customers away. Others like the change. Alex Field does not understand the decision.
Alex said, 'There's a World Cup coming and a big soccer season, and they're banning sportswear on Saturday. It's confusing. I think customers will go elsewhere if they can't wear their team's gear.'
Alex said, 'I will still drink there, but I might go somewhere else before soccer games on Saturday. My friends and I like to wear our team's colors. I'm disappointed, not angry.'
