Jockey, 67, Loses Legs After Accident

Shane McGovern lost his legs.

Veteran jockey Shane McGovern had an accident at his stables. His horse, Reformist, died and trapped him underneath.

McGovern's wife found him after six hours and took him to the hospital. He had no blood going to his legs and hurt his shoulder and ribs.

The Australian Jockeys Association said Shane had his legs removed.
