New Cave Found in Central Vietnam with Rare Formations

A new cave called Thang Cave was found in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. It was named after a local resident who told people about it. The Jungle Boss team and the park's management board worked together to explore the cave. They did a six-day survey after hearing about the cave on June 3. The cave is about 3,000 meters long and 70 meters wide, with several big rooms. It has two entrances, but the exit is very narrow.

The survey team went down 20 meters to reach the cave floor. They found a big space with impressive formations made over hundreds of thousands of years. The cave has big stalactites, stalagmites, and stone curtains.

The team found many cave pearls, which are rare formations made from mineral deposits. These pearls are round, smooth, and white, and they are found in rock basins throughout the cave. The Jungle Boss team wants to add Thang Cave to a tour route, and the park's management board has agreed. The cave is very special and could become a new adventure tourism spot in Quang Tri, making the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Site even more valuable.
