The e-Conomy 2025 report produced by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company assessed the value of Vietnam's ride-hailing and online food delivery sector at $5 billion, showing a 20% increase from 2024, and projected it to reach $9 billion by 2030.

In the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam possesses the smallest online food delivery market. The total market size of the six countries monitored by Momentum Works reached $22.7 billion last year, with Indonesia leading, followed by Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and finally Vietnam.
Jianggan Li, the founder and CEO of Momentum Works, stated that the food delivery industry in Southeast Asia has been growing swiftly in both scale and customer demographic.
He mentioned that platforms have intensified efforts aimed at affordability to enhance mass-market penetration.
