I want to start winning again. Baseball has been okay this year, but it has been tough at times. I have had some good wins, but then I have some losses. Some of these losses were because of bad luck, and some were because of bad choices. Tonight, the Mariners play the Pirates, and I hope this is the start of my winning streak. I have not been doing well, but I think I can turn it around. The Mariners are a good team, and I think they can win. I am going to try to pick more winners. I have been studying the teams, and I think I can make some good choices.

What will happen with the Seattle Mariners this year? The team has made some big trades in the past, so I think they might make some more trades this year. They need a better hitter, because they are only hitting .232. But who can they replace in their lineup? The team has good players in each position, and no one is doing very badly, except for Cal Raleigh, who has been hurt. I like to pretend to be a general manager, but it is hard to see what they can do to improve.

The Mariners' pitching is still strong, and maybe they just need to get healthy or play better. One player who could improve is today's starter, George Kirby. Kirby is very talented, but he has not been doing well this season, with a 4.10 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. He has been better on the road than at home, and he has had two good starts in a row. But he has given up three or more runs in his last six starts. The Pirates' hitters are not doing well against him, with a .234 average.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are doing about as well as I thought they would this season. They are at .500 and are not consistent in any area. They will probably try to make some trades before the deadline. They could use another hitter, but every team wants that. They could also use some better starting pitching. If they can get another good pitcher, they will have two strong pitchers, including Paul Skenes, to lead them in the playoffs.

Before the Pirates can think about the playoffs, they need to win more games. They need their starter, Mitch Keller, to pitch better. Keller has done well in the past, but he seems to have reached his peak. He has a 4.92 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP this season. He has been hit hard at home, giving up 28 earned runs in 43.2 innings. The Mariners' hitters have a .333 average against him in 36 at-bats.

To pick the Mariners, we have to think they will hit well. They have been okay at hitting, but they do not score many runs without hitting home runs. About a third of their runs have come from home runs. Keller does not give up many home runs.

I think the best choice is to pick the Mariners, at least for the first five innings. Kirby will probably give up some runs, but he pitches better on the road, and Keller pitches worse at home. I also think the over is a good choice because both starters will give up some runs. I will pick the Mariners at -126.
