Jaguar Land Rover Suspends Production Due to Supply Issue

A temporary halt in production has been put in place by Jaguar Land Rover at its Solihull facility, stemming from difficulties with a parts supplier.

This pause is expected to last approximately two weeks, coinciding with a previously scheduled shutdown during the Easter holiday, as reported by news outlets.

The production of specific models, including the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, will be affected by this suspension.

According to a spokesperson for Jaguar Land Rover, the company is working diligently with the supplier to rectify the issue promptly and mitigate any potential effects on customers and operations, citing a challenge with the supplier's part supply as the reason for the pause.

Despite the production halt, employees are expected to report to the site as they normally would.

This incident marks the latest in a series of disruptions for the West Midlands-based manufacturer, following a significant cyber attack last year that resulted in the temporary shutdown of its computer networks.

Jaguar Land Rover had previously indicated that production levels had returned to normal after the cyber attack.
