A new study in the British Medical Journal found no proof that taking calcium or vitamin D prevents fractures and falls. Researchers looked at 69 trials with 153,902 people.

They checked the risk of hip fractures, spine fractures, and falls. The results showed little effect from taking calcium or vitamin D on fracture risk.
