Friend of Missing Woman's Husband Talks About Her Disappearance

A friend of the Hookers said Brian's story about Lynette's disappearance does not make sense.
Daniel Danforth and his wife became friends with the Hookers in 2023 because they all liked boating. After hearing about Lynette's disappearance, Danforth sent a message to Brian on Facebook and got a concerning response.
Danforth asked Brian if he was the one on the news, and Brian told him what happened. But Danforth thought Brian's story did not add up. Danforth said Brian's story was confusing. Danforth was unsure what to think.
Lynette Hooker disappeared while she and her husband were on a boat trip. Her husband said she fell into the water with the dinghy's key and got separated from him in the rough water.
The Coast Guard is investigating a crime related to a missing woman in the Bahamas.

Danforth said that if you know about boating, you would think Brian's story is not true.
Brian told the police that the water carried his wife away while he was paddling the dinghy back to the marina. He said the engine stopped working. Brian's lawyer says he did not do anything wrong, and he is being held by the police in the Bahamas.
At first, Danforth thought Lynette's disappearance was not serious because of the messages he got from Brian. They were still talking about normal things like sailboats.
The daughter of the missing woman said there were problems before and wants a full investigation.
When Danforth found out Brian was arrested, he was very surprised.

Danforth said that usually, boaters travel in groups and anchor in safe places, which the Hookers did not do.

Danforth said that boaters always plan ahead and do not go out in small boats in rough water. They usually use small boats to go to land or back to their sailboat.
Brian Hooker has not been charged with any crime related to his wife's disappearance.
