NTU Exchange Student Jailed for Stalking Teenagers

When she stopped talking to him, Gao went to her home many times, and the police warned him for stalking.
Gao was angry and used the dark web to hire a hacker to break into the girls' Telegram accounts.
He tricked one girl into clicking a bad link, but the other girl stopped him. Gao then had the hacker share the girls' private chats online.
The police searched Gao's home and arrested him in February. He was released on bail soon after.
While on bail, Gao stalked another girl he met on Roblox. He found her address by accident from an online seller.
Gao followed the girl many times, including to her campus. When she told him to stop, he said sorry and sent her money, but she was scared.
Gao called the girl over 1,000 times from many different phone numbers. She was very afraid and had to move and change her phone number and email.
The prosecutors wanted Gao to go to jail for 7-9 months because his actions were very bad. His lawyers asked for less time, saying he had mental health issues.
The judge agreed that Gao was responsible for hurting the girls and must be punished.
