Canada's Jeremy Hansen and Artemis II Astronauts Travel to the Moon

The Artemis II test flight is a big step for NASA's moon base plans.

Astronaut Jeremy Hansen is the first Canadian to go to the Moon. He and three other astronauts are on the Artemis II crew.

The Canadian Space Agency said the Orion capsule's systems are working well after 25 hours in Earth's orbit.

The Orion capsule left Earth's orbit and is heading to the moon, which is about 400,000 kilometers away.

NASA's administrator said America is sending astronauts to the moon again. This time, they will go farther than before.

The Artemis II crew is on their way to the moon after a successful engine burn.

This is the first time a space crew has done this since Apollo 17 in 1972. NASA said the burn was perfect.

A NASA official said the crew is healthy and the spacecraft is working well.
