0:01I guess the big difference between
0:03Pole to Pole
0:04and the other projects that I work on is
0:08on the other projects,
0:10my stuntman does all the dumb stuff.
0:12And on Pole to Pole,
0:14Come on, Will. Come on, Will.
0:16Disney and Nat Geo
0:18let me do it.
0:22And this is a journey
0:24I will never forget.
0:31My inspiration behind the series,
0:34I was at a point in my life where
0:37I knew it was time to journey
0:40in a grand sense.
0:41I tasted the top
0:43of my success.
0:46And then watched it fall apart.
0:48I had a mentor named Dr. Allen Counter,
0:52I used to call him
0:53the Black Indiana Jones.
0:55He used to say,
0:56the answers to everything important
0:59are out there at the edges of our world.
1:02He always asked me
1:04to come with him.
1:06He passed a few years ago.
1:08And there was a part of me that
1:10was starting to feel the call.
1:13It was the perfect time in my life to
1:17try to fulfill Dr. Counter’s
1:19dreams and wishes for me.
1:22There it is,
1:22the South Pole, baby!
1:25This is for you, Dr. Counter.
1:27On Pole to Pole,
1:29I traveled to seven continents
1:31and ten countries.
1:32You need to experience our culture,
1:34we go?
1:35Yes, we go.
1:36Let’s go!
1:37You’re learning about nature,
1:39and you’re learning about another country and all of that,
1:41but you’re really learning
1:42about yourself.
1:44There is a real, like,
1:46blossoming, -Wow.
1:48explorer within me.
1:50I got this.
1:51Episode after episode,
1:53country after country,
1:54person after person,
1:56these were all people who were
1:58venturing boldly.
2:00I want to test you, Will.
2:02Show me the way.
2:04And that
2:06ability to venture boldly
2:09is directly connected to the ability
2:13to create the life of your dreams.
2:16Oh my god.
2:19Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
2:21Hey, Will!
2:22Woo-woo!
2:26Our lives are like
2:27an ice cube that’s just
2:29gently melting,
2:31and how critical it is
2:33to love right now.
2:35This is your hometown.
2:36Yeah.
2:37This is my home island.
2:38Yeah.
2:39To be
2:40in this moment wide awake.
2:42We’re exploring happiness here?
2:44Yes,
2:44and I can feel your energy already.
2:47Enjoying every second of the gift
2:50of being alive.
2:53You measure the wealth of a nation
2:56by the happiness of the people?
2:58That is beautiful.
3:01There’s an idea of living
3:04with the planet as
3:07opposed to living on the planet.
3:11Humans are not separate from nature.
3:14We are nature.
3:15Yeah.
3:18Before Pole to Pole,
3:19being on stage with music
3:22was the highest experience I had in life.
3:25And the experiences that I’ve had
3:29on Pole to Pole
3:31have surpassed everything in my life.
3:33We’re here!
3:35We have arrived.
3:38This is the greatest creative enjoyment
3:42that I’ve ever had.
3:45The world is truly an extraordinary place
3:49and this is a journey I will never forget.
3:52And I hope you won’t either.
3:54Here I am,
3:55top of the world.
3:57North Pole, baby!
