0:43incredible system that still works to

0:45this day.

0:48So in 1985, I decided to come out to Los

0:53Angeles.

0:57Dr. Michael was very supportive and gave

1:00me full access to the name, the

1:03marketing, the product line. So when I

1:06came, it was pretty much instant success

1:09almost. Perfect hair and classic flip.

1:13Our clients, many of them have been

1:16coming to us since George Michael opened

1:19in the 50s and 60s. And they brought

1:22their daughters and those daughters

1:24brought their daughters,

1:26friends, co-workers. This is how we

1:29developed our client base. And doing the

1:33right thing for the individual, not just

1:36your pocketbook. Running a small

1:38business is hard. There has to be a love

1:42there to do it. So, wherever you can

1:44find the help, it's always a plus. My

1:48favorite thing is the marketing help

1:50that I get from American Express.

1:52There's a lot of tools and I try to take

1:55advantage of as much of it as I can. The

2:24When I look at the salon today, I'm most

2:26proud of my clientele that are so loyal,

2:30still come to me after decades. the new

2:34girls that come and realize that this is

2:38the right thing for them

2:41and that I've been able to uphold this

2:43for all these years.
