Community Comes Together Through Cooking

In the town of Godalming, a series of complimentary cooking classes has been launched, aiming to foster a sense of community, promote healthy eating, and empower participants with culinary skills.

These monthly classes, taking place every Wednesday morning at the Denningberg Centre, are organized by Joyfull Greens, a plant-based cooking school, in collaboration with the local council.

At their last gathering, the group successfully prepared a traditional Gambian peanut stew, an experience that was highly praised by the organizing authority.

The initiative provides an opportunity for residents, particularly those from low-income households, single parents, and caregivers, to access healthy food and cooking techniques at no cost.
