A Famous Theme Park in the UK is Now Empty

The 1990s were a great time for British theme parks. Alton Towers had over three million visitors each year. Now, it has two million visitors.

Smaller theme parks have had a harder time. Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire closed in March 2025 after 40 years.

Many of its rides are still there, but they are empty. Some people went to see the park and took pictures of the big rollercoaster, Megafobia.

One of the people who visited said, 'We heard that one of the main roller coasters is being taken apart. So, it's our last chance to see it before it's gone.'

The Megafobia rollercoaster was built in 1996 and cost £1.7 million. It looks old and worn out now.

The park had some accidents during its 40 years.
