House of the Dragon Season 3 Family Tree

House of the Dragon Season 3 is here, and it's time to look at the Targaryen family tree.

Over the first two seasons, some family members have died. New people have joined, making the family tree more complicated. Houses Targaryen, Velaryon, and Hightower are all connected. If you need a reminder, we can help.

Below, you'll find the Targaryen family tree as it is now, and a list of characters and how they connect.

Two important Targaryens died in Season 2: one from the Greens and one from the Blacks.

Queen Rhaenyra's team lost Princess Rhaenys. King Aegon's team lost their son Jaehaerys. He was killed by orders from Prince Daemon.

There are still many Targaryens alive. Here's who to watch in Season 3.

Rhaenyra leads the Black team with her husband and uncle, Daemon. After a trip to Harrenhal, Daemon is ready to support Rhaenyra as queen.

Rhaenyra and Daemon's young sons, Aegon and Viserys, are going to Pentos for safety. Their older children are still in Westeros and fighting for the throne.

Rhaenyra's son Jacaerys and Daemon's daughter Baela can ride dragons. Daemon's other daughter, Rhaena, doesn't have a dragon and was sent to guard Aegon and Viserys.

Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower leads the Green team, but she's regretful about her role in the war. She had four children with the late King Viserys.

The eldest, Aegon, is King of Westeros. His brother Aemond tried to kill him, and now Aemond is in charge. Alicent wants to keep herself and her daughter safe.

Alicent's youngest son, Daeron, hasn't appeared yet. He's been living with House Hightower in Oldtown, but we saw his dragon in Season 2.

House Hightower is still important in the show. Alicent's father, Otto, is in jail. Her brother, Gwayne, is traveling with Ser Criston Cole.

Season 3 introduces Lord Ormund, head of House Hightower. He's Alicent's cousin and is taking care of Daeron.

Rhaenyra's advisor is Corlys Velaryon, also known as the Sea Snake. He lost his wife and children, but has two bastard sons.

Corlys' sons, Alyn and Addam, are now part of the show. Alyn is a sailor, and Addam can ride a dragon.

Addam is a new dragonrider for Rhaenyra. Two other men, Ulf and Hugh, also became dragonriders in Season 2.

Ulf and Hugh ride dragons and have Valyrian blood. They will play a big role in the battles to come.

House of the Dragon Season 3 starts on June 21 on HBO and HBO Max.

New episodes will air every Sunday.

The show is about the Targaryen family and their fight for the throne.
