0:03coming out. I could no longer live my

0:07truth for and by myself.

0:10I want to do my best to help others live

0:13their truth without shame and terror. I

0:16never had a courage to share my story,

0:19not because I thought what I am is

0:22wrong, but because how the world treats

0:24those of us who wish to break free. It

0:27was the first time I shared something

0:30that I haven't shared um to so many

0:33people and to be able to do that um in

0:362014 after many many years of suffering.

0:39It allowed me to do the work that I

0:41wanted to do. It allowed me to have

0:44deeper relationships with my immediate

0:46community, with my family. My deepest

0:48truth allowed me to accept who I am.

1:04heard from people is that, you know, my

1:05TED talk allowed them to talk to their

1:08parents about their transness, allowed

1:10them to come out to them. I shared

1:14that stage and in a way that was

1:17reflected to the people watching that
