Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A Jet2 flight to Spain was diverted to London after an emergency.
Flight LS257 left Leeds Bradford Airport at 4:40 pm on Wednesday. It reported a medical emergency on its way to Palma de Mallorca.
The crew sent a general emergency code while flying at 37,000 feet.
Air traffic control helped the flight and directed it to London Stansted Airport. Emergency services were ready to meet the plane. The plane landed safely at 5:50 pm.

Manchester Airports Group said its passenger numbers were up 2.4 percent in May. This is compared to the same time last year.
Many football fans traveled to European finals, which helped the numbers.
Heathrow Airport said its passenger numbers were lower in May.
Heathrow had 7.1 million passengers in May, which is down 1.2 percent from last year.
UK passenger numbers fell 1.9 percent. Passengers from the Middle East were 31 percent lower due to the Iran war.
The decline is better than the 5.3 percent drop in April. The conflict caused some short-term problems.
Heathrow had its busiest day in May with 262,000 passengers on May 22.
