Fatboy Slim Performs at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend started very well on Friday with good weather and music. Fatboy Slim's last set had a special moment that I liked.
The crowd enjoyed a day of dance music with big names like Sonny Fodera and MK. They played hit songs as the sun set behind Penshaw Monument.
The day ended with Fatboy Slim, a famous DJ. He has been performing for almost 40 years and is very good at it.
Fatboy Slim sent a message to the crowd.
At the start of his set, Fatboy Slim showed a message on the big screen that I liked. It was simple but effective.
The message was loud and clear. It's something that should be done at all concerts.
The message was 'Put Your Phones Away Please. Let's Enjoy the Moment Together.'
When Fatboy Slim asked people to put their phones away, they did. They enjoyed the moment without taking pictures or videos.
It was great to watch the show without phones in the way. I tried not to use my phone, and it made me think twice before taking pictures.
Thousands of people watched Fatboy Slim at Herrington Country Park.
Fatboy Slim played his classic songs and mixed them with other famous songs. He was very good at timing and choosing the right songs.
He played other popular songs like Eat Sleep Rave Repeat and Right Here Right Now.
Fatboy Slim's show was not just about music. He also sent messages about the environment and peace. He showed a video of Greta Thunberg and told us to 'Drop beats not bombs.'
'Only Love Can Conquer Hate' was another message he showed on the screens.
It was a great way to start the BBC's Big Weekend. Fatboy Slim was happy to be there, and we were happy to have him.
You can watch the BBC's Big Weekend on TV, radio, and online.
