900 UK Airport Workers May Strike This Summer

This summer, travel may be disrupted because 900 airport workers are voting on whether to strike. The union Unite says this is due to a pay dispute with companies at three UK airports.
If the strike happens, it may start during the summer holidays when many people are traveling. This is also when the Commonwealth Games are being held in Glasgow.
Unite's leader Sharon Graham says the companies involved can afford to pay workers fairly. She says they are choosing to make more money instead of paying workers well.
Flights may be late
The workers being voted on include those who help passengers at security checks and control access to the airport. Other workers, like engineers and managers, are also voting.
Unite's Carrie Donoghue says any strike would cause big problems for travelers. She says the companies are to blame for the situation and can fix it by paying workers fairly.
The strike would happen during big events
A Glasgow Airport spokesperson says they want the talks between Unite and the company to result in a positive outcome.
