EasyJet Update for Brits Travelling to France, Spain, and Portugal

EasyJet has shared an update for British holidaymakers flying to Europe.

The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) started on 10 April 2026. British travellers to the Schengen area must create a digital record with fingerprints and a photo.
EasyJet warned of longer waiting times at European airports.
The EES registration is done at the first Schengen area border and is valid for three years. However, there have been reports of significant delays.
