UK Travelers to Spain Need Extra Documents

This summer, many people from the UK will go to Spain for vacation.
Before the UK left the EU, it was easy for UK travelers to enter Spain. Now, there are new rules. For example, your passport must be issued within 10 years of your trip to Spain.
UK passport holders can only stay in the Schengen area for 90 days in 180 days. When you enter Spain, you will need to scan your passport and give your photo and fingerprints.
After you register with the Entry/Exit System, your record is good for three years or until your passport expires. The UK government says you may need more documents to enter Spain.
You might need to show a return ticket, travel insurance, and proof that you have enough money for your trip. You may also need to show where you will stay.
You can show a hotel reservation or the address of a place you own. If you are staying with friends or family, you can show an invitation from them.
