PIP Payments Increase Next Week

PIP rates rise next week for millions.
PIP is the main benefit for people under pension age. It helps with daily tasks due to illness or disability.
Your PIP eligibility is based on how your condition affects you. The DWP pays PIP.
PIP has two parts: daily living and mobility. Rates increase by 3.8% from April 6, 2026. The daily living rate is £73.90 or £110.40 a week.
The daily living rate will rise to £76.70 and £114.60 a week.

The mobility rate is £29.20 or £77.05 a week.
The mobility rate will increase to £30.30 and £80 a week. You can get both daily living and mobility parts.
PIP is awarded for 9 months to 10 years, then reviewed. Your award might change if your health changes.
The DWP approves claims without assessment for terminally ill people. PIP is available for people over 16 and under pension age.
If you claim PIP and reach pension age, your claim continues. You may make a new claim at pension age if eligible in the last 12 months.
