I'm a TV binge watcher — ITV has done it again with the best crime drama I've seen in years

A TV reviewer said it's the most interesting drama of the year. I was not sure if I would like it, but I decided to watch it. Now that I've seen all of it, I agree with the reviewer.
There are many new TV shows coming out every day. In fact, last year, 1,122 new shows started. This means there are three new shows to watch every day.
It's hard to watch all of these shows and decide which ones are good. Many shows are not as good as classic TV shows like The Sopranos or The Wire.
Some TV shows start well but then get boring. I stopped watching a few shows after one or two episodes. I also got tired of watching Line of Duty and Happy Valley.
It's great when you find a show that you really like. Gone on ITV is one of those shows. It has great actors like David Morrissey and Eve Myles.
Eve Myles plays DS Annie Cassidy.
Gone is a six-part drama about a murder. A woman's body is found in the woods near her home. The show tries to figure out who did it. The suspects are introduced slowly, and none of them are too obvious.
David Morrissey plays Michael Polly, the woman's husband. He seems like a cold and violent man at first, but then you see that he's just very stressed.
Eve Myles is great as DS Annie Cassidy. She's good at getting people to talk. The two main actors work well together.
There are other suspects in the show, like the man the woman was having an affair with. Some people thought the show was too slow, but I liked the pace.
A reviewer said David Morrissey's performance was one of the best of his career. The final scene was very well written and acted.
The show's ending is sad, but not just because of the murder. The main character is trapped by his own values and can't escape.
A reviewer said David Morrissey's performance was amazing. He showed the character's dual nature, which was both interesting and sad.
The show is available to watch on ITVX now.
