New York High School Student Sentenced for Setting Homeless Man on Fire

A high school student who set a homeless man on fire in the subway has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
The student, Hiram Carrero, pleaded guilty and received a sentence that is six months longer than the minimum but shorter than the maximum.
The homeless man was badly hurt and would have died if help hadn't arrived quickly.
The incident happened early in the morning when Carrero set the fire and then left the subway car.
