Australian Runner Edward Nketia Sets New Record

Edward Nketia won the 100m in 9.74 seconds. He had help from a strong wind. The wind was too strong, so the record does not count.
Eddie Nketia from Australia ran very fast in the 100m. He set a new record, but the wind was too strong.
Eddie Nketia used to run for New Zealand. Now he runs for Australia. He won two gold medals in the United States.
Nketia ran for the University of Southern California. He won the 100m in 9.74 seconds.
Nketia ran very fast, but the wind was too strong. If the wind was not so strong, he would have set a new record.
The wind was blowing at 5.6 meters per second. This is almost three times the allowed limit.
Nketia said, 'Let's make it legal next time.'
Nketia said, 'It's crazy to run that fast, even with the wind. I'm getting better and the season is not over yet.'
Nketia wants to set a new record without the wind's help.
Nketia said, 'The all-conditions record is nice, but I want the real record.'
Nketia thinks his future is bright. He wants to compete in Europe.
Nketia won the 200m in 20.03 seconds. The wind was even stronger this time.
