Nationwide Announces Fairer Share Payments

Nationwide will give a Fairer Share Payment to eligible members next month.

Nationwide said 4.4m customers will get a free £100. This shows the success of its mutual model.

Nationwide also published its full-year results and new member benefits.

Nationwide gave £1.8bn back to members last year. This includes £1.4bn from better rates.

The new Fairer Share payment is £440m. It will be paid from June 10 to eligible members.

The CEO said more people are choosing Nationwide. This means they can make a Fairer Share payment and offer a new bond.

Since 2023, Nationwide will have given £1.5bn back to members through Fairer Share.

Nationwide wants to pay Fairer Share every year, but it needs Board approval.
