Big Hotel Chains Grow in Vietnam Due to Tourism

Marriott International plans to build 10 new hotels in Vietnam by 2030.

This year, Marriott will open two hotels on Hon Thom Island and one each in Da Nang and Hoi An.

Marriott already has 32 hotels with over 9,900 rooms in 10 Vietnamese cities.

Marriott thinks Vietnam is a stable market despite global economic issues, so it's investing more in the country's travel industry.

IHG Hotels & Resorts also plans to open two new hotels in Vietnam soon.

A new luxury resort called Regent Ho Tram will open on Ho Tram beach in Vung Tau by 2032.

Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong will open in 2029 in what is now part of HCMC.

Vietnam's tourism sector is doing well despite global economic and political problems.

In the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam's tourism grew 12.4%, much faster than the global average, and the country aims to keep growing its tourism sector. Vietnam had a record 21.1 million foreign visitors last year.

Vietnam wants 25 million foreign visitors this year.
