Travel Problems Continue at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports

Travel problems are still happening at London's main airports, Heathrow and Gatwick, because of very hot weather and bad storms.

A lot of rain fell overnight, causing many flights to be delayed or cancelled at these two busy airports, with over 400 flights delayed at Gatwick and 600 at Heathrow.

More than 200 flights at both airports were completely cancelled.

On Sunday, some flights are already late, and some have been cancelled.

At Gatwick, some easyJet flights to places like Palma de Mallorca and Nice have been cancelled, and more delays are expected.

At Heathrow, British Airways has cancelled flights to cities like Toulouse and Rome.

The group that controls air traffic in Europe said Heathrow and Gatwick are the only two airports in the UK with big delays because of the storms.

Gatwick had to limit air traffic temporarily on Saturday because of the bad weather.

Gatwick said that because of the thunderstorms, they had to limit flights, which caused some to be late or cancelled.

EasyJet is trying to help passengers who are affected by the problems, and a spokesperson said they are doing everything they can to minimize the disruption caused by the weather.

EasyJet is notifying passengers in advance and giving them options to rebook or get a refund, as well as providing hotel rooms and meals if needed.

Even though the hot weather is starting to get better, the weather forecast says there could be more thunderstorms.

The weather forecast for Gatwick says it will be cloudy with showers all day, and there might be more bad weather coming.
