0:00One time when I was in the 4th grade, we took a field trip to the Grand Canyon.
0:03Because that's what you do as a school when you live 3 and a half hours away from the Grand Canyon.
0:08It was beautiful and breathtaking- Yadda yadda yadda, but while we were there,
0:11we stopped by a gift shop.
0:13My mom gave me some money before I went, and I wanted to spend it ALL.
0:17So I bought a snow globe... I don't know why.
0:19And as I was holding it, my teacher walked by and asked,
0:22"Oh James, do you have a snow globe collection?"
0:25And I said "Yeah." But here's the thing.
0:29I guess I just didn't want to explain why I was buying a snow globe.
0:33But then that sparked an idea.
0:35Wouldn't it be funny if I STARTED collecting snow globes?
0:42So then I asked my friends and family for snow globes for my birthday and Christmas.
0:49And some of my friends would bring me snow globes from all over the world.
0:54And interestingly enough, I still have the one I got from the Grand Canyon.
0:58I mean, I dropped it and all the water's drained out,
1:01but it's still the very first one.
1:05And Miss Askelson, if you're watching this,
1:07yes, I do have a snow globe collection.
