0:02are doing wrong and one of them is
0:05choosing public when you are uploading
0:08videos. In this video, I want to explain
0:09to you why it is wrong and how you can

0:29small YouTuber, as a small creator,
0:31majority of, not even as small creators,
0:33like majority of us have been choosing
0:36public as an option when we are
0:38uploading videos. Yeah. And YouTube has
0:41different type of options when you want
0:44to upload a video. One of them is being
0:46public, another one is unlisted, another
0:48one is private, and another one is
0:50premier. And you can schedule your
0:52videos for later. You know, we have
0:55these options and I'm going to
0:56screenshot and put them here. so that
0:58you guys can understand deeply what I'm
1:00talking about. So when you are choosing
1:02private there is a big mistake that
1:04you're doing without knowing. So most of
1:07us when you want to upload
1:09videos just go on YouTube put in the
1:12thumbnail key in the title write our
1:14description and upload it directly to
1:16YouTube publicly for everybody to watch
1:18the video. So this is what you're doing
1:20wrong. Not everybody is interested in
1:23the type of content that you are posting
1:26because we have different niches. We
1:28have money type of content. We have
1:30cars, we have gaming, we have lifestyle,
1:33vlogs, food. Like we have like those
1:36types of content on the internet. But
1:38tell me if somebody gives you food that
1:41you are allergic to, that you don't
1:43like, will you eat it? Absolutely not.
1:46And this is what you normally do when
1:48you choose public. If you choose public
1:50actually you're exposing your video to
1:51everybody. So YouTube is just going to
1:53like it's going to give everybody the
1:55food and nobody like not everybody is
1:58going to consume that type of content.
2:00So when you go on the YouTube studio we
2:03have different type of options that you
2:04can choose for them to understand your
2:06type of content. You even give YouTube
2:08time you know to analyze your video and
2:11choose the correct audience for you. So
2:13I'm going to show you uh later on how
2:15you can correct this mistake. You know,
2:18I want all of us to be gaining to be
2:20gaining views, to be gaining subscribers
2:23with the right people involved because
2:25not all of us are doing the same type of
2:26content. So, you are supposed your
2:28videos will be supposed to be suggested
2:30to the rightful audience so that you
2:32cannot do this mistake again. So, let us
2:34go into the analytics. I'm going to use
2:36like a random video to explain to you
2:38how this is done. You know hopefully at
2:40the end of this video you're going to
2:42learn and come back you know after doing
2:45this come back and tell me did it work
2:47or not you know trust you me it will you
2:50know let us not confuse YouTube let us
2:53not confuse YouTube because this is a
2:54space that has a lot of people. If you
2:57are an entertainer let your videos be
2:59suggested to an entertainer. If you if
3:01you are you are a vlogger let your
3:04videos be suggested to an audience that
3:06love vlogs. If you are a person who
3:08loves cooking, let these videos be
3:10suggested to people who love cooking.
3:13Okay, so let's head right into the
3:15analytics. Details option whereby you in
3:18your thumbnail. We'll go back to that.
3:20Then we have monetization if you your
3:22your channel is monetized. We have B
3:25video elements check if you have any
3:28copyrights or anything. And then we have
3:30the visibility section. This is the most
3:32important part whereby we guys are
3:34checking about it. So in the visibility
3:36these were options that I was talking
3:37about. You can see private and listed
3:40members only if you have members for
3:42your channel. We have public and then we
3:45have schedule your videos for later. So
3:48let's start off with private. Yeah. If
3:50you choose private, this video is
3:52uploaded to YouTube but you are you are
3:54the only one who can see the video.
3:56Nobody else, you know, you are the only
3:59one who can see the video. So you can
4:00just keep your videos over there. Maybe
4:02for future reference or something, if
4:04you want your people to see it later on,
4:06you can put it to public. But private,
4:09nobody's not going to see your videos.
4:11And then you have the option of
4:12unlisted. So you can put it and share
4:15the link to people. Only specific people
4:17you want them to see the video, they can
4:19see it. You know, specific people that
4:23you want to see or they can correct
4:25something before you upload it. You can
4:27choose it as unlisted. And then we have
4:30the members only. for the members only.
4:32If you are monetized already on YouTube,
4:34you choose this option if you want only
4:36your members to see, not all the
4:38subscribers, but only those who have um
4:40paid for membership, they can watch your
4:43videos. And then we have public. This is
4:45the option whereby majority of us
4:48normally do and uh it really really um
4:52harms our YouTube channel because there
4:55are options you cannot click or do when
4:58you choose public. Yeah. So the best
5:01option for small creators that I advise
5:04any small creator to do is to schedule
5:06the videos for later. Let us click this
5:08option and let me show you guys. We have
5:10the option for schedule. So when you
5:12click it, this is what you're going to
5:15see. Um so when you schedule it, you can
5:19from private to public. Okay? If you
5:21have a video in private, you can put it
5:23on public and you can schedule as many
5:25videos as possible. So you can be you
5:28can go on vacation but your videos are
5:30being uploaded on on YouTube. So this is
5:33the best option because you can choose a
5:35date the time when you want the video to
5:37go and if you want it to be for members
5:39only you can also choose the option over
5:40here. The reason as to why I'm saying
5:42you choose or reschedule the videos for
5:44later because it really helps YouTube to
5:48understand your video more before it is
5:50uploaded. So let us go back to details
5:52so that I tell you why it is important
5:54for you to schedule your videos for
5:55later. Yeah, let's go back to the option
5:57of details. So, this is where you key in
5:59your title, you put in the description,
6:02and you have an option to generate the
6:03thumbnail over here. If you have a
6:05playlist, you can also key in the
6:07playlist that you want the video to go
6:09to. And then you can choose if the video
6:12is for kids or not for kids, you know,
6:14for age restriction. And you go for the
6:16option of show more. Yeah, let us click
6:19on that option. It's going to give us
6:21more option. And there's one thing I
6:24want you guys to see. These are the
6:25options you'll not be able to key in if
6:28you choose public. You see we have like
6:30so many options over here. So many
6:32options. So you see the area of
6:35category. Yeah. Let us click it. So
6:38these are the several categories that
6:40YouTube normally give us. These are the
6:41niches. Cars and vehicles, comedy,
6:44education, entertainment. You have film
6:46and animation, gaming, how to style,
6:49music, politics, nonprofit. You see all
6:52these options. So you you know the type
6:55of content that you've created. So for
6:57YouTube to understand more what your
6:59video is all about. Click on one of the
7:02options which is related to your type of
7:04content and it is going to be suggested
7:07to the right audience. So you just give
7:09YouTube time to understand the type of
7:12content that you have created you know.
