Opened in 2012, Lolla is known for its modern Mediterranean cuisine. It was ranked 43rd on Asia's Best Restaurants 2024 list, compiled by the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, which comprises more than 300 food critics, writers, chefs and restaurateurs selected for their expertise in Asia's dining scene.
Lolla had been included in the Michelin Guide for the first time in 2023.
A staff member said she felt "sad, shocked and disappointed" by the closure.
The restaurant executive, who requested anonymity, said employees were informed in January to begin looking for new jobs and learned that the closure had been confirmed only a few days before the Instagram announcement.
Singapore has seen a series of restaurant closures recently.
Several Kith Cafe outlets have closed over the past few months, including the West Coast outlet, which shut on Monday.
Pizza Express closed some of its outlets in December 2025, retaining only its Star Vista and Duo Galleria outlets.
Singapore's food scene saw 2,431 closures in the first 10 months of last year, of which 63% did not last more than five years, The Straits Times reported.
