James Bourne has spoken out after quitting the Busted tour last year.

James Bourne has spoken out after quitting the Busted tour. He took time off before the band's joint tour with McFly started last September.

James had a big surgery to help him live longer. He used his time off to work on a new album called Murder At The Gates, which he started over 10 years ago.

James said, 'I didn’t want my health to stop me from promoting this project. I was scared I wouldn’t finish it. But I knew I had to finish it and share it with the people.'

James didn’t want to let his fans down with the new project, which he worked on with Steven Sater, a famous playwright.

James has been supported by his Busted bandmates.

James told The Sun, 'Some people have been waiting for this album. There are big fans who come to everything, and I’ve been talking about this for a long time.'

James regretted leaving the tour, but he focused on the new album instead.

James said, 'I had a lot of time when I wasn’t touring. It was like turning a bad thing into a good thing. I was sad to leave the tour, because I love touring.'

James became famous in the early 2000s with Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis. They had hits like What I Go To School For and Year 3000 before breaking up in 2005.

James used his time off to work on a new project.

Last year, Busted toured with McFly, but James left at the last minute due to health problems. He told fans he wasn’t well enough to perform.

James said, 'I don’t know much about my condition, but my bandmates and I think I should focus on my health for now. I hope I can come back to music later.'

Six months later, James said, 'I have a plan for surgery to help me live longer. I hope I can come back to touring and music. It’s hard to be away, but there’s hope.'

Last year, Matt spoke on stage about James’ health, saying it was very serious.

Matt said, 'James is really sick, and we love him. This is the first show without him, and it’s weird. We’ll do our best.'

Matt didn’t say what James had, but said it happened quickly and reminded fans that health is important.
