Chelsea Star to Join Manchester City in Surprise Transfer

Malo Gusto has agreed to join Manchester City this summer to play under Enzo Maresca again.

Manchester City is starting a new era after Pep Guardiola left. Enzo Maresca, Guardiola's former assistant, will replace him. Maresca used to work at Chelsea but left in January.

Manchester City is already making transfers. They are close to signing Elliot Anderson for £116 million.

According to Foot Mercato, Manchester City needs to convince Chelsea to sell Gusto.

Enzo Maresca wants Gusto to be a key player. But Chelsea has a strong position because Gusto's contract lasts until 2030.

Chelsea is close to signing Marco Palestra, which will increase competition for right-back positions. They don't want to sell Gusto, who joined in 2024 from Lyon.

Chelsea values Gusto at around £75 million, much higher than the £31 million they paid for him.

Chelsea is working on transfers and has made an offer for Granit Xhaka from Sunderland.

Xabi Alonso, the new Chelsea manager, wants to sign Granit Xhaka, who he knows well. But Sunderland rejected a £8 million offer and said Xhaka is not for sale.
