According to Biondi, the team is around 80% certain that they have found something significant and have already drawn up a formal plan to present to the Egyptian authorities, highlighting potential entry points between the Great Sphinx and the Pyramid of Khafre.

One large shaft, which is currently blocked by debris, could be the key to unlocking a larger, hidden network of tunnels under Giza, as revealed by Biondi in an interview on the Matt Beall Limitless podcast.

However, the researchers may face challenges in convincing the authorities of their discovery, as the renowned Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass has long been skeptical of claims about a second Sphinx.

Hawass has previously dismissed Biondi's claims about a secret, underground city beneath the Pyramid of Khafre in Giza, calling the idea 'completely wrong' and lacking in scientific basis.

He has also criticized the use of radar technology in these claims, describing it as 'false' and unscientific, and has expressed doubts about the validity of the techniques used by the researchers.
