Amazon's AI-generated Alexa Podcasts

Amazon has a new podcast with two AI hosts talking about games.

I do not like it.

Amazon announced Alexa Podcasts on Tuesday. It is a new service for Alexa+, Amazon's AI assistant. The company says it offers 'AI-generated audio episodes on any topic'.

This is like other AI-generated podcasts. A recent study found that 39% of new podcasts were probably made using AI.

Amazon is joining this trend with Alexa Podcasts. Users can ask Alexa to talk about any topic, like news or sports. They can also choose the AI assistant's personality and conversation style.

Then, Alexa will make a short episode with two AI hosts and send it to the user's device.

Amazon gets its information from over 200 news sources, including big newspapers and websites.

I do not like this idea. I prefer listening to podcasts made by humans, like history or music podcasts.

I listen to podcasts because I like the hosts and their production teams. Alexa's AI voices cannot replace them.

I do not want AI-generated music, audiobooks, or podcasts. I do not want to listen to AI chatbots talking to each other.

I do not think this is a good idea. I do not want to listen to AI-generated podcasts about important topics.
