1:14I know that you were in "Beauty and the Beast."

1:16I assumed...Beauty.

1:17-Yes. I was around like 11 years old.

2:19When you weren't acting, did you have any other hobbies

2:23-Well, I was clearly very small.

2:24I had my-- And now I'm quite tall.

2:26-Yes. -I had my growth spurt super late.

2:27So I wasn't really sporty. Um, but I did--

2:30I tried my hand at soccer and cross country,

2:33and then the soccer girls

2:35convinced me to do off-season water polo.

2:38-Ooh. -Which is the closest

2:40I've ever felt to dying.

2:42I mean, that was-- It is brutal. Brutal.

2:45-It is? -Yeah, yeah, yeah.

2:46It's just vicious underneath the water.

2:47-Well, I don't know anything about it.

2:50-Well, I wasn't very good.

2:51I only did it about like two or three times.

2:54But I was pretty good at Pictionary,

2:56so I feel like your show should bring back

2:58some sort of water-polo game.

3:00-Yeah, yeah, yeah. I will do-- I will think about that.

3:07You play Carolyn Bessette,

3:09and you were fantastic in this, by the way, bud.

3:12-Thank you. -Uh, it was...

3:14[ Cheers and applause ]

3:15-...the biggest pop-culture moment.

3:17-Uh, everyone was talking about you.

3:19And you just crushed it. You knocked it out of the park.

3:22Did you see any resemblance when you were first--

3:24when you got cast?

3:26-We're 5'10". We're both 5'10". Both have blue eyes.

3:28-Yes. -I had-- You know, obviously the hair

3:30has been quite a big topic of conversation.

3:33I think that was really what sort of started the resemblance.

3:36But I was really focused on trying to capture her essence.

3:40And she wasn't, you know-- she was photographed a lot,

3:42but there weren't any interviews she sat down for.

3:44-I was gonna say. There's probably not much to research.

3:46-She's very private, which I found--

3:48She's incredibly interesting. I admire her so much.

3:51But being able to work in New York and--

3:53I'm from Michigan, but I've lived here for about 1 years.

3:56-Whoo! -Yeah. Michigan in the house!

3:58-Yeah. -Um...

3:59but to be able to shoot here and, like, walk the streets

4:01and practice in pre-production

4:03of finding her physicality and like,

4:05where her centers-- I really focused on her eyes.

4:07She always moved through her eyes.

4:09She's very expressive through her face.

4:10Um... -It was fantastic.

4:13-Yeah? Aww. -Yeah.

4:14I mean, it's been streamed over 80 million times...

4:17and people loved it.

4:18What do you think-- What fascinated the fans about this?

4:21-Well, I think there's-- I was only four in 2000.

4:24I was born in 1996. Year of the Rat.

4:26-Whoo! -Yeah.

4:27Other rats in the house, too.

4:29-Yeah. -Um yeah.

4:31So I don't really remember the '90s.

4:33-Me neither. -Yeah.

4:36-I just don't. Oh, my God. We're like--

4:38-We're so young. -We were twins.

4:40We're so young. I just want to go--

4:42I want to grab my skateboard and get out of here.

4:45But I did know some characters that were, like--

4:47I know Calvin Klein. And, man, he did a great job.

4:50-Alessandro Nivola is so incredible.

4:53-He crushed it. -Yeah. He was--

4:54He was just such a dream to work with.

4:56Everybody was.

4:57-But even the '90s in New York.

4:58And did you even-- Like, the spots, the restaurants--

5:02-Well, yeah, I've been to-- I've now been to The Odeon.

5:04And I went to Walker's last night

5:05to watch the game, which is kind--

5:07Yeah. -Oh, yeah. Well, yeah.

5:08They didn't win, but-- It's still--

5:10Oh, they will win.

5:11-They will win. Yeah. -Give 'em one.
